Post subject: Regarding Advisor Elections
|
|
|
Far be it from me to try and rise above my rank, but it seems that a logical method for which to conduct the election of advisors would be to have a number of vote threads on the forum, each unique to the class, and running simultaneously. Those who wish to apply sign up in the respective class thread, then the votes are placed in the respective threads.
Seems sensible to me... comments? |

Sounds plausible - its something we didnt get around to discussing in the senate meeting but it sounds like the best way to do it. _________________ everything you need to know is on the website... http://www.clairybible.biz.ly/ happy reading! |

well yeah i got a comment,
we tried this idea before.
main thing you want to worry about is this.
"do we have enough people that want the job off beeing 'class leader aka advisor' "
this was the problem last time..
we had all the classes but only 5 sign ups
and only 2 off the same class
to start off get the interest there for the members ..
get them to apply as advisor of there class
when u have that sorted, then you sort out iff there is like multiple sign up for one class
if so
start the voting !
think this will help your out a bit ..
and we trew it all in announcement post, because that was the fastest and easiest way..
we did how ever gave every election different post.. but we only have 2 votes .. mage and warrior the others were auto elected back then because they only had 1 applicant for there class..
you can still see the "scars" in annoucements, within all the closed topics there.
also having seperate class threads is kinda obsolete, this beeing because still not lots off people read it.. and we have people that read but dont comment, thats why almost all *class* annoucements have been global and not specific to a certain class.. we just didnt put difference in classes, seeing as if u want to be a class leader you should know your class... the only extra thing you will know is what a advisor spot exactly lets you do..
apart from that you just have to be a good player off your class so you can help others.. this may be sorted later on forum with class threads.. but atm its a bit of space waste. (in my opnion)..
so you should try and get the people that want to be advisor start off with ingame "Advice".
and the people that prefer help trough forum can be helped here in posts..
if the forum gets more active or if we move site.. then we can think of class threads.
anyway if you have any other question be more then happy to answer.. if i'm on the forum
anyway toedels..
